A shout out to the North Beach Sub

I had lunch from Buon Giornio today. The old Buon Giorno in St. Paul. Not the fancy pants one in Lilydale. When I get Buon Giorno for lunch, there's no need to look at a menu. I know I'm ordering a North Beach. It's turkey, bacon, fontina chese, romaine, tomatoes and aioli on a crusty sub roll. Seriously, it's very near the top of my favorite sandwiches of all time. Add one of their awesome cookies (today was oatmeal craisin-thanks Ethan!)and you will not be disappointed!

Rebecca! You don't have Italian Beef listed under Sandwiches [You] Have Loved!

I know you were sick, so I'll let this one slide, but whoa girl. I am trying so very hard not to be so very disappointed in you.

Good catch--I was either coughing, blowing my nose, or fending off the cat from the keyboard. And I even went back through all the posts!

dear sihl,

i have drifted away, burdened as i am with thoughts of sandwiches day and night since first visiting this blog. but like beth, rebecca, or angie to the the deli case, i am once again drawn back. will you do some sort of party, retrospective/tasting at the end of the sandwich season?
